Hi ladies,
What a great opening day we had at St. John’s Golf and Country Club and congratulations to all of our winners. Club Rep, Athena Ballas and the St. John’s staff, did an outstanding job of hosting our large group of ladies. The golf course and delicious food were surpassed only by the friendships in the room. The golf cart staff asked me to extend their thank-you for your generous tips. They were impressed.
Our next event is our three-week Senior/Super Senior tournament on October 6, 13 and 20. This is a best 2 of 3 scores and you are not required to play all three weeks. Signups begin September 16 and you are required to sign up for each venue separately. There is no need to designate yourself as IN tournament or NIT (not in tournament). The entire field competes for points and if you complete 2 or 3 rounds, you are automatically IN tournament. The first round on October 6 will be hosted at the Slammer and Squire with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun (Please note this is a change from the 8:30 start time shown in your directory).
Our Charity Endeavor – The Way Free Medical Clinic – is under way and you can follow our progress on the JWGA website. A HUGE thank you to Emily Brown for her matching funds. A donation box will be available on the registration table at all of our events through Christmas.
Member News – Look for our rotating flyers on our website highlighting news about our members. If you have achieved any golf milestones that you would like to share, please contact me or Ana. We would like to celebrate you.
COVID Protocols – Remember, health and safety of our members is of utmost importance. If you have COVID or have been exposed to someone with COVID, please cancel and follow CDC guidelines. I will keep you updated via email and/or our website relative to each club’s policies.
Make it a great day,
Linda Hoffman,
President, JWGA
