Many thanks to the King and Bear for hosting our Sarah Shelly tournament today and to our Club Rep, Cindy Peterson and her helper Sandy Brokmeyer for getting us organized and checked in this morning. Our Major’s Chair, Deborah Eady, did an awesome job of handling scoring and, let’s not forget Shari Zeimetz, our Golf Genius Manager responsible for setting up this tournament.
Congratulations to our Sarah Shelly leaders – Shupe/Hastings and Walker/Bruce who are tied at -10. The field is hot on their heels with 2 rounds to go and, as we all know, anything can happen. The 2nd round of the Sarah Shelly is a scramble and will be played at the Slammer and Squire on November 9 with a 9:00 shotgun. Congratulations to Therese Quinn who shot a smooth 73 today and to our low putt winner, Ann Rogers, with 27 putts. Please visit our website to view all of today’s results.
NOTE: After completing your round, please compare your hard copy scorecard to your Golf Genius scorecard to ensure that the scores match. If there is a discrepancy, the scores on the signed and attested hard copy scorecard will prevail. Today, there were 5 scorecards that did not match the scores in Golf Genius app.
Check out our website to track the donations that have been made to our Hubbard House charity. We are already over $1,900.00 in contributions to this very worthy cause. Thank you to everyone who has already donated. If you wish to donate, your donation can be placed in the donation box which will be available on the registration table at all of our events through Christmas. Or, donate on the Hubbard House website at hubbardhouse.org. In the box designed for comments, please mention JWGA so we can track our donations.
Trophies: I would like to thank those who responded to our questionnaire regarding the replacement/reconfiguration of trophies. If you have not responded, we would appreciate hearing from you by November 5. Your opinion is important to us.
I can’t close without a few more thank-you’s. Debra McDermott, our Historian deserves a pat on the back for her efforts as photographer at many of our events. And how about our web team of Ana Leaird, Jeri Roche and Adrienne Whitman who have worked so hard to create our beautiful website. When you see them, please thank them.
As a courtesy to our host clubs and JWGA members, please remember to fill your divots and repair your ball marks.
Make it a great day!
