Pinehurst is a challenging format that brings out the best and sometimes the worst in all of us. After three weeks of heavy competition, this year’s Sarah Shelly winners are Cindy Peterson and Tian Jones. Congratulations to our champs and to all those who placed in the top 9. Please visit our website for the full list of participants and their finishing order.
Many thanks to the Deerwood Country Club for hosting us and for the wonderful pre-order menu. The course was in great shape, food was delicious and the pre-order helped facilitate faster service. Special thanks to our Club Rep, Linda Trunick, for getting us organized and her helper Marilyn Becker for checking us in this morning. Our Major’s Chair, Deborah Eady, did a fantastic job organizing and scoring this 3 week event. Thank you Deborah.
Charity Endeavor: As of November 3, we are at $2,060 in donations to the Hubbard House. Check out the charity flyer on our website to follow our progress. Thank you to all who have already donated. If you wish to donate, we will continue accepting donations at each of our events through Christmas. Or, you may donate at www.hubbardhouse.org. In the box designated for comments, please mention JWGA so we can keep track of our donations.
Trophy Questionnaire: Many thanks to everyone who responded to the Board’s trophy questionnaire. The majority of you voted in favor of replacing/reconfiguring our trophies and that is what the board has decided to do. Emily Brown has generously offered to pay for the two trophies that are up for replacement/reconfiguration this year. Thank you so much Emily.
