Another sunny day today but the course sure took on a lot of water from all of the rain yesterday and last night. It was lift, clean and place, and in many cases a move to get out of standing water. So the conditions were challenging today to say the least. My golf ball developed a sound that seemed to be something like splat, splat, splat! Of course those of you who hit long high arcing shots into the greens would not know of this sound! Our thanks to Sandy Brokmeyer for hosting us at Marsh Creek. It seems she had a full plate - being club representative, running this major tournament, and playing in the Championship Flight! Now that is multi-tasking. Advancing to the final round round for the Championship are Chris Moyer and Faye Shepherd. It should be a heck of a showdown as they both have nerves of steel! Good luck to both, and I can hardly wait for next week to celebrate our new Champion. There is heavy competition in the other flights both for flight winners and Championship and flight consolation rounds so next week is it - bring that A game!
On to Eagle Landing for the grand conclusion. If you were in the tournament, don't forget to post your score as a T score - and if you are a NIT, your score is posted as an away score (unless Marsh Creek is your home course). There was some confusion on this last week so I wanted to clarify. Onward!
Birdies and Sunshine to all!
