It was cold and windy at GCAI today, but the players prevailed through the first round of the Sarah Shelly Tournament…
Many thanks to the Golf Club of Amelia Island for hosting our Sarah Shelly tournament today and to our Club Rep, Melinda McGrath assisted by Sue Reigler for getting us organized and checked in this morning.
Congratulations to our Sarah Shelly leaders – it is a tight race right now with several teams within a couple strokes of each other. Three teams tied with a net 70, four teams at net 71 and four teams at net 72. The field is hot on their heels with 2 rounds to go and, as we all know, anything can happen. The 2nd round of the Sarah Shelly is a Captain’s Choice and will be played at Queen’s Harbour.
