What an exciting end to our Handicap Tournament at South Hampton. The shootout started on the #1 handicap hole #13, a par 5 with all 8 finalists hitting fabulous drives. Lenore Allen then proceeded to surprise us with an outstanding chip in eagle, net 2 albatross to win the shootout and the handicap tournament. Congratulations to our winner Lenore Allen and to all the finalists including Shauna Snyder, Shirley Budden, Deidre Wray, Younghee Lee, Terri Wensell, Debbie Somes and Sandy Brokmeyer. The spectators who followed the finalists helped make the shootout even more exciting and memorable. Thanks to all of you. Please go to our website at myjwga.com to view all of today’s results.
Deb Eady, our Major’s Chair, did an outstanding job of organizing and running this three-week event. Please thank her when you see her. Thank you also to Barb Biber, our Club Rep at South Hampton, for her help with registration and coordinating this event with the pro shop. And let’s not forget our playday committee of Cynthia Hastings and Dot Peck who handle the scoring for all our tournaments.
