I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones and friends. Many thanks to Cimarrone for hosting us today and to our Club Rep, Roberta Brenner, for getting us organized and her helper Deb Eady for her help in getting us checked in this morning.
Our Grandmothers battled it out today for the coveted basket trophy. After the dust settled, Linda Boland came out on top with a net 67. Nice playing Linda. Congratulations to Donna Fiedorowicz for winning putts with 25. Please note that the handicaps on the scorecards reflected the incorrect slope & rating. After correcting the slope and rating, net scores changed.
Pairings Arranged: Please do not ask to be paired with someone when the event is Pairings Arranged. It puts the Club Rep in an awkward position and defeats the purpose of playing with and meeting other members.
Our Christmas event at Sawgrass on Monday, December 13 is full with 128 players and a few more for lunch only. What a great turnout at this beautiful venue. Please remember, this event includes lunch and a general meeting. This is also the last day to donate to our charity, The Way Free Medical Clinic. Let’s make an effort to push our charity thermometer to the highest degree. February 2, 2022: The Handicap tournament at the King and Bear is a 9:00 a.m. shotgun, not 8:30 as shown in your directory.
February 23, 2022: Due to the time involved to clear base security, the last day to sign up for the Windy Harbor tournament is February 8.
April 28, 2022: The Mixed Couples tournament at Queen’s Harbour is on April 28, not April 27 as shown in your directory.
Remember, to win the Championship, you must have played in 5 events and attended 1 General Meeting (Opening Day, Christmas or Anniversary).
