Sawgrass Country Club never disappoints and today’s Christmas Event was no exception. Many thanks to Nate Marozzi and the Pro Shop staff for their professionalism and help with organizing this event and handling scoring. Delores Adams always does a great job and we appreciate her help along with her check-in crew of Kay Buirge and Athena Ballas.
Today’s format and challenging winds did not hinder the team of Humphrey, Short, Budden and Holmes from scoring the lowest team net score in the field with a -16. Congratulations to all of our flight winners and to Lorry McCamey for her Eagle on #4 East, a challenging par 5. Please check the weekly results page for all of today’s winners!
Thank you everyone for your generous donations to The Hubbard House and a special thank you to Linda Trunick for being our liaison and handling the donations. With the donations collected at Sawgrass today, we reached an awesome grand total of $4,012 for this worthy cause. Next year’s charity will be selected by the ladies of St. John’s County.
Registration will open on 12/21/22 for the following events:
Marsh Creek – 2 Best Net of 4 – Make your own foursome
Eagle Harbor – 95th Anniversary – LG/LN – Pairings Arranged (Golf, Lunch and a General Meeting)
Our Championship is scheduled in April and I want to remind you of our policy: While everyone can compete for prizes, in order to be eligible to WIN the Championship, a member must have played in 5 play days and attended one business meeting/luncheon (Opening Day, Christmas, or Anniversary) prior to the start of this tournament.
If you are traveling or staying close to home, I wish you a very safe and joyous Holiday Season with friends and family.
Linda Hoffman,
President, JWGA
