Hi ladies,
What a great turnout we had today at the Sawgrass Country Club – 128 players and an additional 5 for lunch. We always enjoy playing at Sawgrass and are grateful for the opportunity. There are several thank you’s today. First, our Club Rep, Delores Adams, always does a great job of coordinating this event and arranging lunch. Thanks to Kay Buirge, Sue Riegler and Judy Kontny for helping Delores get this large group checked in.
Today’s playday of 1 Gross + 1 Net was a lot of fun and the windy conditions didn’t seem to bother anyone. Please check the weekly results page for all of today’s winners!
Thank you everyone for your generous donations to the The Way Free Medical Clinic and a special thank you to Emily Brown for her matching funds and to Susan Mackert (Eagle Harbor) for being our liaison. With the donations collected today, we reached our goal of $5,105. With Emily’s match of $5,000, that brings us to $10,105. Next year’s charity will be selected by the ladies of Duval County.
Our next event is January 12 at the TPC Valley Course. Sign ups are currently open for this make your own foursome – Low Gross/Low Net event. If you do not have a foursome, please sign up and we will pair you with other members. During our Christmas break, sign ups will be open for our playdays at:
Marsh Creek – Best Ball Net Stableford – Pick your own partner and we will pair you with another twosome.
Eagle Harbor – Cha, Cha, Cha – Make your own Foursome
COVID Protocols – Remember, health and safety of our members is of utmost importance. If you have COVID or have been exposed to someone with COVID, please cancel and follow CDC guidelines.
If you are traveling or staying close to home, I wish you a very safe and joyous Christmas and New Year’s with friends and family.
