Hi Ladies,
Wolves and lions from the St Augustine Wildlife Preserve entertained you this morning with their loud howls and roars. I understand they put on quite the show for those who were warming up at the range. The Wildlife Preserve is located about about 5 miles from WGV and, if you are interested, they do tours!
It was a beautiful day for the first round of our Handicap Tournament. The results show that some matches were very close going down to the last hole. Congratulations to the match play winners and to the NIT winners. Deb Eady, our Major’s Chair, did an outstanding job of organizing this event and handling last minute changes. Thank you to all those who helped Deb including, Cindy Peterson, Dot Peck and Cynthia Hastings. Check-in was expertly handled by WGV members, Sandy Brokmeyer and Tian Jones.
Please check out our website for the results of the match play and NOT IN tournament events. Next week we are at the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club followed by the final round and shoot-out at South Hampton. I can’t stress enough how important it is to commit to all three weeks of this tournament. Players who forfeit or default or are otherwise unable to play ANY of the 3 matches within their flights are automatically disqualified from the tournament.
