Many of us struggled today but there is one player who came out on top. Tama Caldabaugh impressed us with a remarkable score of 74 and has a 10 stroke lead going into the third and final round at Eagle Landing. Last week we had a tie between Tama and Chris Hunt for Medalist each with a score of 73. Today, the Medalist title went to Tama with her round of 74.
Scores in the remaining Championship flights are tight and the win could go to anyone making next week very exciting. Lou Tenarvits snagged Low Putts today with a fabulous score of 25. To view both Championship and NIT scores, please visit our website portal. Congratulations to all and thank you for participating.
Thank you to the Queen’s Harbour staff for hosting today’s event. Shari Zeimetz, our Club Rep, put a tremendous amount of effort into getting us organized and we appreciate her efforts. Thank you to Joan Rump for her help with registration this morning.
Registration is now open for the following tournaments:
April 19 – JWGA Championship NIT – Eagle Landing – 9:00 Shotgun
April 26 – Mixed Couples – Jacksonville Golf and Country Club – Don’t miss out on the opportunity to play in this special couples tournament. In this Pinehurst event, both players tee off, then they switch balls. Player A plays Player B’s drive, and vice-versa. Each player hits the second shot. They then select the best of the second shots, and from that point until the ball is holed they play only one ball in an alternate shot format. “His” and “hers” silver ice buckets with liners and covers are presented to the low gross and low net winning teams.
May 3 – St. John’s County Course – 1 Gross on the Even Holes plus 1 Net on the Odd Holes will determine your team score for this event. Registration for this event is open and you can make your own foursome. PLEASE NOTE: St. John’s County Course is located at 4900 Cypress Links Blvd, Elkton, FL. DO NOT confuse it with St. John’s G&CC on Hwy 210.
May 8 – Closing Day – Palencia – Closing Day is open for registration and will consist of golf, lunch, general meeting, awards and the election of new officers. The format is Net 3 on 3’s, 2 on 4’s, 1 on 5’s. This is a “make your own foursome” so get our team together for a day of competition, camaraderie and fun.
Make it a great day!!
